FLAX (LINEN) FIBER
Linen fiber is extracted from flax plant. After (dew) retting process, flax plant is processed through scutching and heckling to make long fiber. These long fibers are used in making pure linen yarn on wet spinning system. Remaining part is passed through carding process to make cottonised type of linen fiber. This cottonised linen fiber is used to spin blended linen yarns with cotton and other fiber’s blending. Linen is natural, sustainable, cool fiber. It has good moisture absorption. Linen was used in home textiles, but now become more popular in fashion and apparels.
